New Year update

At the start of 2021, we would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Peaceful New Year. The past year has many memories and one that stands out for us is the overwhelming generosity of so many people. We have been so encouraged by many individuals, schools, churches and businesses who have donated so generously. A huge thank you from everyone at the Food Bank, as a result of your giving we have been able to bless many families and individuals.
The year 2020 became our busiest one so far, with 1433 referrals received and over 35,000 meals supplied into the local community.
A special thanks to all our volunteers who have put many hours in to make all this possible.
We value all your ongoing support and interest as we enter this new year.

September Update

September was another busy month for us at the Food Bank, with lots of requests for help, so far this year we have been able to supply 24,329 meals, which is a huge quantity of food, and an increase of 21% on the same period last year.

We are short of a few items at the moment, and if you are able to help when you are out shopping, that would be greatly appreciated.

Large tins of vegetables, sachets of microwave rice, instant mash, instant custard and sponge puddings.

Thanks again for all your help and support, together we are making a difference.

Update 20 August 2020

We are having a busy month supporting many individuals and families in need of our help.  We are grateful for all the donations being received so thank you once again for your continued support.  School holidays can be a difficult time for many families and we are privileged to be also helping where needed. XR are once again organizing Two Tin Tuesday on 25th August, if you are planning to make a donation into one of the collection boxes perhaps you would consider one of the following items: corned beef, hot dogs, tuna or small tins of spaghetti in sauce.
